Carter Herman serves as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Finance and Treasury department at PenAir Credit Union. In this role, he is responsible for analyzing the Credit Union’s financial data, developing strategies to enhance profitability, and preparing the annual budget. Additionally, Carter is an active presenter on financial literacy at the Louis Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy at the University of West Florida, demonstrating a dedication to the continuing education of future generations.

Prior to his tenure at PenAir Credit Union, Carter accumulated four years of experience as a licensed Financial Advisor, where he provided clients with expert advice on investments, insurance, and cash management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of West Florida. Carter is also a distinguished member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society.

An Army veteran, Carter served in Operation Spartan Shield in the Middle East and continues to serve as a Captain in the Florida Army National Guard. He commanded Bravo Company, 146th Expeditionary Signal Battalion in Pensacola, FL, for three years, during which his unit was actively involved in recovery efforts for Hurricanes Ian, Idalia, Debby, and Milton.

Carter is deeply committed to community service. He was a member of the Pensacola Downtown Rotary Club from 2018 to 2022 and is a supporter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, supporting land conservation efforts through annual banquets.
