As the Pensacola Market President for Synovus / Pinnacle Financial Partners, Alan is a rarity: a seventh-generation Pensacolian. A graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, he started his career over 25 years ago as a Middle Market banker at SouthTrust Bank in Birmingham. He returned to Pensacola as a commercial banker at Wells Fargo Bank in 2006, covering the Florida Panhandle. Since joining Synovus in 2015, he has worked with their business and commercial clients in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. In his free time, Alan enjoys traveling, exercising and sports. In our community, Alan is quite active as the Vice Chair for the local Ascension Sacred Heart Board, The Bylaws Chair for the Pensacola State College Foundation, Member and Past President of the Northwest Florida Gator Club, Current President of the Order of Tristan, Member of the Diocesan School Advisory Council and Chairman of the St Paul Catholic School Finance Committee. Past Service includes serving on the boards of YMCA of NWFL (past Board Chair), Fiesta of Five Flags (Past Treasurer), Five Flags Rotary Club (Past President and Paul Harris Fellow), Celebrate Pensacola (Treasurer) and ARC Gateway, among others. Alan is married to Mollie, and has two children, Wells and Thomas.
