Allison Spradlin, the Planetarium Specialist for Pensacola State, has been with the College since November of 2023. When not working in the planetarium, Allison joins her mother, Wendy Spradlin, in PSC’s eLearning Department. As the College’s Planetarium Specialist, Allison plays a special role in combining scientific and astrological information with visually engaging audio and visual presentations to help educate and entertain students, faculty, and the public.
“While I’m still learning as I go, it’s an incredibly fun ride,” Allison expressed. “I thoroughly enjoy running the planetarium and being a part of that one-of-a-kind experience for the audience.”
Much like her mother, Allison gives back to PSC to support the greatest needs of students and academic programs through through the College’s various affinity groups.
“I choose to donate because I was a student whose graduation was made possible through scholarship support,” she shared. “For me, it’s a reward to be able to return the favor and help students that are in the same shoes I was once in.”
