Caroline Powell chooses to give back to Pensacola State College for one simple reason—helping students grow and succeed.
As PSC’s Assistant Softball Coach, Caroline has spent the past 10 years investing in the lives of student-athletes both on and off the field. While athletic success is important, she finds the greatest reward in helping students develop the confidence, character, and life skills that will serve them long after their time at the College. Her commitment to students is strengthened by her colleagues in the Athletic Department that share her same conviction.
“What makes me most passionate about PSC is the opportunity to work with our student-athletes every day and play a role in their growth beyond the field,” Caroline shared. “Being part of such a collaborative community and watching our players grow into strong students, athletes, and future leaders is incredibly rewarding and is what drives me to give back.”
Her commitment to philanthropy is also rooted in her own personal experience. Having begun her own educational journey at a community college, she understands the transformative impact these institutions can have on students’ lives.
“I’m inspired to donate because of my own educational experience and seeing firsthand how impactful that environment can be,” she said. “Community colleges create opportunities, provide support, and help set students on a path toward long-term success.”
Through her contributions to the PSC Foundation, Caroline is helping ensure our students are equipped to thrive in and outside the classroom. “I believe deeply in the work we do at PSC and the difference it makes for our students and student-athletes,” she expressed. “Donating is my way of investing in that mission and helping ensure future students have the same opportunities for growth and success that I had.”
