Image of Beth Akin. For Beth Akin, an Admissions Coordinator at Pensacola State College, giving back to PSC is a natural extension of the passion she has for helping students succeed. As both an alumna and employee donor, her connection to the Pirate family runs deep.

Having first enrolled at PSC after graduating high school in 2016, Beth earned her Associate of Arts degree in 2018 before officially joining the College as a staff member in the summer of 2023. “I have been a part of the PSC family since I graduated high school,” she shared. “I love the College, and I was excited to become a staff member.”

Today, in her role as an Admissions Coordinator, she has the opportunity to pay it forward for students whose shoes she once filled, guiding them as they start their own educational career. “I enjoy helping our students choose their degree or certification and begin their academic journey,” she said.

Her decision to support the College through charitable giving stems from her belief in the students she serves every day. “I love Pensacola State College. PSC supports the local community,” Beth explained. “I think it is a great reflection of the city of Pensacola.”

Inspired by the determination and goals of her students, she chooses to invest in their futures through philanthropy. “I was inspired to donate to PSC because I believe in our students’ academic success and truly want my students to achieve their goals and love what they do.”

Through both her work and generosity, Beth continues to help open doors for the next generation of PSC students.
