Keith Hoskins, a former commanding officer of Pensacola’s Naval Air Station, Blue Angel, and western district general manager at Florida Power and Light Company (formerly Gulf Power), is an established member of the Pensacola area. Currently serving as the executive vice president of Navy Federal Credit Union, Hoskins is in tune with the financial needs of the community. Keith, alongside his wife, Lori, established a scholarship at Pensacola State College in June of 2022.
As a child growing up in the suburbs of Kansas City, Keith bonded with his father, who was an Army veteran and police commissioner in the city of Parkville, Missouri, over a love of airplanes. This love would endure Hoskins’ twenty-seven-year Navy career as a fighter pilot and member of the Blue Angels flying team.
Prior to his Naval career, Keith was a graduate of Missouri Western State University, where he played football. This time in his early adulthood instilled in Keith a love of athleticism and academics.
From 2017 to 2020, Keith Hoskins served on the Pensacola State College Foundation Board of Governors where he was chair of a comprehensive campaign. While part of the Foundation board, Hoskins witnessed firsthand the impact that generosity has on educational access. “In today’s world, it is a powerful thing to know that every gift is a donor’s contribution to a new chapter in the story of a student’s life,” he stated.
As generous supporters of the Northwest Florida community, Keith and Lori Hoskins established the Empowering Women Through Sports Endowed Scholarship to honor and empower women who distinguish themselves as leaders through athletics, academics, family, and community service.
This $25,000 endowment benefits female soccer players at PSC with a history of involvement in community service and was awarded for the first time in the Fall 2023 term to Remy Redmon.
