Mary first joined the College in 1997, at then Pensacola Junior College, serving as the Director of Marketing and College Information until 2005. She returned to PSC in 2014, and now serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications for WSRE. She’s spent a total of seventeen years as a member of the Pirate family.
Mary shares that one of the biggest reasons she loves Pensacola State is that it supports a diverse range of students and their individual goals.
“From high-achieving honor students and athletes to those seeking career skills or high school diplomas, anyone can find their place and succeed at Pensacola State College,” she says. Having been with the College for several years, Mary also expressed love for the many long-standing relationships and history she’s shared with so many “genuine, interesting, and good people” who work continuously to create a caring environment in which students thrive.
Mary chooses to pay it forward because she recognizes the barriers that financial aid can help students overcome. “Practically everyone in our community has affordable access to quality education and top-rated degree programs,” she states. “This is thanks in large part to financial support from PSC Foundation.”
Mary is inspired by community leaders who have established “lasting legacies” with their gifts to the Foundation. “The Sandra and Grover Robinson III Honors Program, Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, and the Molly McGuire School of Culinary Arts” are just a few of Mary’s favorite examples.
