Dr. Edward Pate, assistant department head of the English and Communications Department, has served on the Robinson Honors Program Advisory Council for three years. Other service includes volunteering at Winterfest Pensacola and Take Stock in Children, which provides mentoring and scholarships to Florida’s deserving, low-income students.
He believes in the importance of education and admires the commitment and hard work exhibited by Pensacola State students. Nelson Mandela’s “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” is one of his favorite mantras.
“I am inspired by our students’ successes, and I support giving back through donations and community service to fulfill the PSC mission of changing our community through education,” he said.
