Melissa Cole, Pensacola State College Foundation
Tammy Henderson, Director of Human Resources at PSC, has been with the College for nearly thirty years, celebrating the thirty-year milestone this March. In her role, Tammy helps ensure that the College attracts, retains, and develops a diverse and talented workforce.
Having been with Pensacola State for so long, Tammy has grown into her role and developed a deep love for the opportunity to connect with others that it provides. “Identifying candidates for employment, working on educating the workforce through presentations and coaching, and being available and approachable to help others is a reward that I receive daily,” she shares. “It’s the good people in our workforce who service students and provide an avenue for better futures that I truly love being a part of.”
In order to help provide a brighter future for students, Tammy chooses to give back to Pensacola State College. “I believe that a collective effort of giving, no matter how large or small, can go a long way,” Tammy explains. “I’ve been a donor in several categories that help support the College, such as being an Athletic Booster to contributing to the AFC Pensacola State College Endowed Scholarship and now giving to the Dr. Dona Kaye Cotten Memorial Endowed Scholarship.”
For Tammy, seeing the compounding effect of generosity is what motivates her. “Donations are investments that directly provide resources for opportunity, that’s why I choose to give.”
