Marcie has been a PSC Pirate for nearly 14 years, beginning her career a part of the Athletic Department in June of 2009. She shares that during her time here she’s found many reasons to love PSC. “One reason that’s important to me is my work family [coaches and staff],” Marcie says. “Over the years, I made some really great connections with coaches, staff, and student athletes that has carried over outside of PSC. There are a lot of faces that I genuinely look forward to seeing entering each workday.”
Outside of the coaches and staff in the Athletic Department, Marcie says she also enjoys getting to work with the students. “I truly feel like I’m surrounded by people who care about the College itself,” she recounts. “I see that in the student athletes as well as our staff.”
Her love for PSC is one of the main reasons that Marcie chooses to donate to the school; she believes in “giving back”. “Working at PSC, I feel a responsibility to be able to help students in a positive way. Most students are away from their families taking classes full-time while also juggling being a part of athletic programs.” In giving back, Marcie hopes to ease the strains of the students she sees daily. “Things sometimes get tough. If I can help any student alleviate some of the stresses of College by donating, I want to be a part of that.”
