Dear Donor,
We hope you are ok! At Pensacola State College, you and your family are in our thoughts. We hope you are healthy and safe during these difficult times. We would love to hear from you and welcome your call, email and/or questions.
Since you have been such a strong supporter, we want you to know how we are advancing our mission in a rapidly changing landscape.
As you may know, the Governor has closed our campuses and centers to the public. For our college, this includes the theatre, pool, gymnasium, art gallery, library, fitness center, testing center, and planetarium. Our situation is fluid and continues to change daily; therefore, on Monday, March 23, only employees directed by their supervisors report to campus and all other employees will work remotely as assigned.
Through this pandemic, we are committed to pursuing solutions to the new burdens created for our students. Current social distancing and a mandate to transition to remote instruction have us seeking ways to support students who are without access to technology. Laptops that would enable students to continue their studies will cost roughly $700 each. Though the landscape is ever-changing as we adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain firmly committed to the quality education that will help students create their ideal future. Consequently, we are writing grants and pursuing resources to help secure the laptops and access needed.
We remain committed to serving you, our students and local employers who await our graduates. Please know we will keep working hard on the vital issues that are important to you.
If you would like to continue to help, please make your gift here. We have special needs especially as it relates to providing the technology needed to help the students continue with their education remotely. If we can be of service to you during this pandemic, we can be reached via phone at 484-1560 or via email at foundation@pensacolastate.edu.
