Human trafficking is a multi-billion-dollar, global criminal enterprise which targets people for exploitive purposes including sexual slavery, forced labor and child soldiery. It is estimated by Florida Health that human trafficking in the U.S. impacts between 14,500 and 17,500 people annually, with many incidents happening right here in Florida.

The Chaddah Dance Company is a local non-profit organization focused on educating and bringing awareness to human trafficking through dance. Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society made up of PSC students, invites you to witness a moving performance by Chaddah Dance Company titled “Encounters of Hope.” The event will cover true stories of human trafficking.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the PTK Transformation Through Education Scholarship at Pensacola State College. This award was established by PTK in 2019 to support survivors of human trafficking on their pursuit of higher education.

If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to contribute to the PTK Transformation Through Education Scholarship, gifts can be made using the online donation form here by selecting the PTK Transformation Through Education Scholarship from the drop-down menu. Donations can also be made by check payable to “The Pensacola State College Foundation” with a note that states “PTK Transformation Through Education Scholarship.” Checks can be mailed or dropped off to the Pensacola State College Foundation, 1000 College Boulevard, Building 17, Pensacola, FL 32504.
