For Sarah, her third college journey began with a long-lost letter. “Recently, my grandmother passed away, and as I was helping my grandfather go through items in the house, I found a letter that I wrote to my grandmother when I was in the 5th grade saying that I wanted to be a doctor and work with ‘Doctors without Borders.’ My husband and friends encouraged me to go back for my M.D. degree.”
Sarah already has two Bachelor’s degrees in arts/anthropology and in nursing. “As a nurse I have already traveled to Guatemala and Haiti on medical mission trips and have future trips planned to go back to both places, as well as India and Nigeria.
“Thank you, Sandy Sansing, for your donations, so that I may fulfill my dream of becoming a physician, and one day allow me to assist my current patients, and future patients around the world in a more advanced practice.”
