Pensacola State College received $5,000 in scholarship funds from Veterans National Homecare for first-generation in college students on Aug. 19.

The Dona and Milton Usry Endowed Accounting Scholarship is available to full- or part-time Pensacola State students majoring in the field of accounting with a 2.5 or higher grade point average. Recipients must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, and other supplies. Preference will be given to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Aminat Jubril is from Lagos, Nigeria. She came to PSC to play basketball and is the recipient of an athletic scholarship. Her major is sports medicine/physical therapy. “I’ve always loved medicine. I love sports. I wanted to do something that I could put those two together.” Being an athlete and a science major is difficult.…
Pensacola State College received $30,000 in scholarship and program funds from Monsanto-Solutia Retirees Inc. on Wednesday, July 24.
The donation was presented to Pensacola State President Ed Meadows during an 11 a.m. press conference in the College’s Board of Trustees meeting room in Building 7, on the Pensacola campus.
Willesley Butler is from Jamaica and is the recipient of a basketball scholarship. He is the first in his family to go to college and is studying sports management, though time management is his biggest struggle.
