PSC Foundation director lends voice to award-winning a cappella quartet

Aged to Perfection, a female quartet of a cappella singers specializing in the barbershop harmony style and affiliated with Harmony Inc. was recently named international quartet champions.

The group beat more than 100 quartets from across the United States and Canada at the competition held in November in Orlando. The competition was part of Harmony Inc.’s annual convention, which featured educational sessions, various categories of competition, and performances by past and current championship choruses and quartets.

Cantonment Rotary Club awards $500 scholarships to 2 culinary arts students

The holiday gifts arrived a little early for two Pensacola State culinary arts students who each received $500 scholarships from the Cantonment Rotary Club.

Bob Thomas of the Cantonment Rotary Club awarded Phi Hoang Pham and Tiara Ruggs with the scholarships during a luncheon held Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Molly McGuire Culinary Dining Room on the Pensacola campus.

Groundbreaking for PSC’s East Wing of new STEM building is Nov. 13

The groundbreaking for Pensacola State College’s East Wing of the new STEM building is set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, on the Pensacola campus.

Construction on the first phase (East Wing) of the facility will begin in January – following the abatement and demolition of the existing Mary Ellison Baars Building. The East Wing will be home to the College’s cybersecurity and mathematics programs.
