Dona and Milton Usry donate $100,000 to Pensacola State College for scholarships

“Dona and Milton Usry have been longtime friends and supporters of Pensacola State College,” said Pensacola State President Ed Meadows. “The PSC family thanks you for your generosity in endowing this scholarship that will help our students achieve their goals and dreams.”

The Dona and Milton Usry Endowed Accounting Scholarship is available to full- or part-time Pensacola State students majoring in the field of accounting with a 2.5 or higher grade point average. Recipients must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, and other supplies. Preference will be given to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.

Robinson Honors Program Scholars, Friends Experience Central Europe

No European trip is complete without taking in some historical sights, sampling the local fare and experiencing the culture.

A group of Pensacola State College Robinson Honors Program Scholars and faculty members did all that and so much more during a May 25-June 2 tour of Prague and Berlin.

“The Central Europe Service Learning Trip had a total of 19 travelers ─ 11 Robinson Scholars along with four faculty members, one other PSC student and three community members,” said Amber Carey, the Robinson Honors Program director. “The 11 Robinson Honors Scholars were able to benefit from this cultural immersion program through travel scholarships due to the gracious sponsorship by the Robinson family.”

Baptist Health Care Foundation provides $15,000 in scholarships to EMT students

Baptist Health Care Foundation has provided $15,000 in scholarship funds for Pensacola State College students who are enrolled in the emergency medical technician program.

The presentation was made by Jennifer Grove, vice president of external relations at Baptist; Drew Stringfellow, director of primary, urgent and emergency care; and KC Gartman, executive director of Baptist Health Care Foundation, during a May 20 ceremony at the College’s Warrington campus.
